will take you to the submission screen.
We are accepting submissions exclusively
through
Sonicbids online this year. Please read the
following carefully, as it will answer most of your
questions. The only access to judge's inbox is via a
Sonicbids submission, thus the judges have no access
to CD's and press kits sent to us.
Details:
The
application fee is $20.00 till the deadline of midnight on
Dec 31, 2007. All submitting artists will be
notified via email before Jan 7, 2009. Winners must
be available to play in Toronto during the festival
dates.
Every Submission is
Evaluated and Acknowledged:
We have a team of
judges specifically appointed by the festival
director. Submissions evaluation is not a function
of the artistic director, who is not involved in
this
process. Artist Selection will be at the sole
discretion of the Winterfolk. Every submission will
be listed to and carefully evaluated. All
submissions are acknowledged at the time of receipt,
and again when the status has been determined. Once
selected, you will receive materials on the
festival, and your performance date will be
scheduled. Winners must be available to play in
Toronto during the festival dates.
How are the
Submission funds used?
Winterfolk is
presented by 'A Better World', which is a registered
non profit organization. Funds received from
submissions are used towards festival expenses, the
majority of which is paid to the artists.
